To commemorate a friend's special birthday, I had an idea that would change everything. At that moment, I had not yet begun to explore my ceramic yearnings. However, this event sparked my creativity!
Unusually, my husband wasn’t home. I found myself alone at the kitchen counter with a glass of wine. In that moment, I decided to freestyle a piece. There were no sketches and no plans; just a plate and a burst of inspiration.
Celebrating Friendship Through Art
If you know Kerry (and some of you absolutely do), you’ll understand that I had plenty of hilarious moments to include. From her epic travels and accidents to the unforgettable jobs she held at the BBC, there was no shortage of material. The plate almost drew itself.
To say she was moved would be an understatement. She laughed, she cried, and she couldn’t get over it. And me? I was hooked.
